District Disaster Relief Meetings Coming Up

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

As we hear the news of disaster striking all around the world, through hurricanes, earthquakes and fires, it breaks our hearts to see the devastation left behind from these disasters.

After meeting with Bishop Fairley and all the Disaster Relief coordinators last December, I came out of that meeting with a vision and a goal of building a Disaster Relief Team for our NKY District. I started working closely with John Denham back in February. We started a fellowship breakfast to introduce this idea to the churches in Mason, Fleming and Bracken Counties.

After working closely with Rev. Susan Jinnett-Sack, our District Superintendent, and with Jim Morris, our Conference Disaster Relief Coordinator, we have decided to introduce two more Fellowship breakfasts to build a Disaster Relief Team here in Northern Kentucky area.

The first breakfast meeting will be this Friday, October 13th, at the Frisch's in Cold Spring, KY across from Art's Tool Rental at 9 a.m. for churches in the following counties:

Campbell

Boone

Grant

Harrison

Kenton

Pendleton County

The second breakfast will be Friday, October 20th, at 9:30 am at General Butler State Park Lodge for churches in the following counties::

Carroll

Grant

Owen

Trimble County

Susan and Jim will be at both meetings. Please share this information with your mission team and anyone else that wants to be a part of this team or who wants to learn more about disaster relief.
