Flood Bucket Drop Off Locations

Update from NKY District Disaster Response Team:
Greetings on behalf of the NKY District Disaster Response Ministry Team,
We first ask for your continued prayers for all of the communities and first responders that are currently impacted by the severe flooding in Eastern KY.
Secondly, here is a quick update on what we can do as a district to offer assistance at this time.
We have received requests to provide:
- Flood Buckets https://umcmission.org/umcor-cleaning-kit/
- Hygiene Kits https://umcmission.org/umcor-hygiene-kit/
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Brooms, Mops, Squeegees
- Diapers/Infant Supplies
- Non-Perishable Snacks/Food (Canned items must have a pop-top lid)
Yesterday, Rev. Todd Smith was able to take 50 of our 73 on-hand flood buckets to Pikeville First UMC using a truck provided by UMC Foods via Rev. Larry Karow! Thank you to all of the churches/individuals that provided those buckets in the past.
We now need you and your churches to help us send more supplies to Eastern KY as soon as possible as well as replenish our stockpile of flood buckets to be distributed as needed in the future. To make it easier for churches to deliver the requested donations for immediate need, we have established drop-off locations throughout the district as follows:
August 3 (Wednesday):
District Event at the Y’all’s Ball Game
6-6:30 PM South Parking Lot (Go past the stadium after you enter)
Look for Bev Ketron (Silver Silverado Truck) or Todd Smith (White Silverado Truck)

Williamstown UMC:
Fridays 8am-10:30am, 1pm-4pm (Cutoff Date is August 26)
