Trivia Night to support FuelNKU!

Vine and Branches is excited to begin a new partnership with our campus food pantry, FuelNKU. It started with one of our psychology professors in 2013 and has grown into a small operation that serves about 300 students each semester. (That number has likely grown over this academic year.)
Hunger is growing problem on our college campuses nationwide. In my research, I have found that approximately half of undergraduate students have reported that they have chosen educational expenses over food. There is no current research on graduate and law students. What I do know is that Chase Law School students are NOT allowed to have a job while they study here. So we can assume that there is a need in those areas as well.
In the spirit of Matthew 25, we have reached out to FuelNKU and offered our help to feed our campus. One of the main problems they reported to us was being unable to keep the shelves stocked with needed items. They run out of things and have a hard time finding people and organizations to replace the items quickly.
Which is where we come in. April 13 at 6 pm, we are kicking off our partnership with FuelNKU with a trivia night fundraiser/food drive. We are looking to fill the shelves for the time before finals week and to hopefully give them a stockpile for summer classes and the fall semester.
This trivia event is going to be a fun, friendly competition with bragging rights and NKU swag at stake. We would love to see our churches put some teams together and come out and join our campus community for this event. We are hoping for students, faculty, and community members to join us! Admission to the event is some kind of donation to FuelNKU.
You can use this flyer as a bulletin insert, for any bulletin boards you have around at your church, or you can pass them out. If you would like me to come to your church on a Sunday or Wednesday (or whenever your programming takes place) to give a short pitch, please contact me and we will send a team to you!
