UMCFood in Latonia (Covington) Hiring Full-Time Accountant

UMCFood, a non-profit ministry of the United Methodist church, provides over 2 million meals annually to children in Northern KY and Greater Cincinnati.  We are funded by USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs.  We have some excellent staff with longevity in positions in place, and we are looking to add a senior level position to come along side of us to support our mission of feeding children.

 
UMCFood is seeking a full-time accounting person to handle all of our bookkeeping and accounting needs.  This is currently a single person accounting department.  Duties include everything from data entry of invoices to Journal Entries and trial balances.  Our payroll is outsourced, and there will be no tax or 990 forms in this position.  This is an on-site working position in Latonia, KY. 
 
We are seeking a person who has an undergraduate degree in accounting as well as a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience.  Experience with Quickbooks online is a huge asset.  Ability to create processes and procedures related to accounting is necessary.  This position will also help to assure our compliance with our Child Nutrition Claims process, and will assist in validating our inventory across multiple meal preparation sites.
 
This job is full-time and the incumbent will be expected to work 40-50 hours per week.  Hours will generally be 8a-5p, with an expectation of 11-7p one or two days a week (flexible) to ensure site, kitchen and inventory compliance.   The pay range will be $40-60k per annum (which will be based upon talent and experience)  employer match 403b, paid vacation and partially paid employee health benefits are available.
